Recent Ritz Carlton Sarasota Review: "I was a bit hesitant about checking into the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota based on some reviews I read about the "gratuity expectations" of the staff. I went ahead with the reservation, and was extremely pleased with the hotel and service. WE stayed at the Club Level, which was well worth the additional cost for the room per night for the 4 fodd presentations and complimentary drinks throughout the day. This was my first stay at a Ritz-Carlton, so I have nothing to compare to, but I thought the service was spectacular. Everyone was friendly. They didn't just answer your question, but also made small talk. They went out of there way to tend to our every need. No matter where we were, every staff member was willing to help us with questions beyond the scope of their job. We had an issue with our safe, and the housemaid got someone immediately to our room to fix the problem. Our waiter at breakfast offered to help make arrangements for us to take the shuttle to the beach club. We never had to wait more than 2 minutes for anything. Definitely recommend if you are in need of a mini-getaway and lots of pampering."
